Hamlin becomes the first rookie to sweep Pocono
and did it from the pole both times. Pretty impressive for a kid that never seen
this track before and learned his way around it playing video games.
Dale Earnhardt finished 43rd for the second
consecutive week after getting a bump from behind from Dave Blaney, knocking Jr
out of the Top 10 to 11th. He's 15 pts behind Tony Stewart who moved to 10th
after being penalized one lap for "aggressive" driving when he
intentionally swerved into the 07 car of Clint Bowyer sending him spinning and
collecting a innocent 99 Carl Edwards. Edwards also was given a one lap penalty
for "aggressive" driving when he retaliated and spun Tony Stewart out going onto
pit road. Carl went onto finish 39th.
Jeff Gordon had a better time at Pocono this time
around. He suffered a hard hit here a couple weeks ago saying that was the
hardest hit he's ever had. This time around he finished 3rd. His teammate Jimmy
Johnson finished 8th giving him 16 top 10 finishes for the season.
Kevin Harvick moves up 3 spots to 5th with his
5th place finish giving him momentum for Indianapolis 500 where he always has
run well. Harvick teammate Jeff Burton led 23 laps at Pocono and went onto
finish 9th.
